Tye River Pottery News:

Kevin Crowe has invited a unique team of experienced wood-fire potters to fire his combination anagama-noborigama kiln. This firing will be an opportunity for Kevin to work with several experienced wood-fire potters who are also friends:  Robert Compton, Stephen Driver, Judith Duff, Vicki Hansen, Mark Hewitt, and Jack Troy.

This crew of experienced potters will gather at Tye River in mid-May. They will devise a firing strategy that builds upon their own proven methods but also challenges their expectations, follows hunches, and expands personal horizons. The will fire Crowe's kiln for five days. This will be an opportunity for these professional potters to collaborate with their peers, and teach and support one another as they take risks with their work.

After unloading the kiln a week later, crew members will debrief the firing and discuss possibilities based on its results.
